BEST WAY TO USE WHITE WOLF RUBS FOR GRILLING AND COOKING

Place your meat in a gallon storage bag. Pour enough olive oil in the bag to coat the meat. Rub the olive oil into the meat and then generously add whatever flavor of rub you want to the bag and rub it into the meat. The olive oil will help the rub adhere to the meat. If you have time, it is best to let the rub marinate into the meat for 30 minutes to 1 hour before cooking so place the bag in the refrigerator until you are ready to cook. Fire up the grill, preheat the oven (parchment paper helps keep the meat moist in the oven), or place the meat in the air fryer! You will be happy that you added a little spice to your life!

BEST WAY TO USE WHITE WOLF RUBS FOR smoking

Place your meat on a cutting board or cookie sheet. Generously rub the meat with olive oil and generously apply whatever flavor rub you want. Primal is the absolute best for smoking but Hunter and Pack are very good as well.

HELPFUL HINT: No matter whether you are smoking, grilling, or cooking, you should always cover your meat with aluminum foil after it is done and let it rest. Meat out of the oven should rest for 10-15 minutes. Meat out of the smoker should rest between 30-60 minutes depending on the size of the cut of meat. This allows the meat’s juices to reconstitute and makes the meat juicier.

smoked meatloaf

Put together your meatloaf using your favorite recipe. The Alpha Dog likes to use 80/20% ground beef, onion, green pepper, egg, bread crumbs and the Arctic Rub to season the meat. Once you have formed the meatloaf, rub the outside of the meatloaf with your favorite rub (Primal is our favorite). Place the meatloaf on a wire rack and put the wire rack over a disposable aluminum tray that you can add moisture to as the meatloaf cooks. We like apple juice for moisture. Smoke with your favorite wood…..the Alpha Dog prefers Cherry and a little Hickory mixed in. The last 45 minutes of smoking, glaze the top of the meatloaf with organic honey which gives a nice sweetness and color to the meat. The meatloaf when done should have an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover lightly with aluminum foil and let rest for 20-30 minutes.

easy spanish rice

Cook a pot of rice using chicken broth, diced tomatoes, diced green chiles, and Lobo seasoning to make this quick and easy Spanish rice.

  • 1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1 Tablespoon butter

  • 1 cup white rice

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 - 15 oz. can diced tomatoes

  • 1 - 4 oz. can diced green chiles

  • 1 Tablespoon White Wolf Lobo Rub

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt together olive oil and butter. Add rice and stir to coat with oil/butter. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 2-3 minutes until rice is toasted. Stir in chicken broth, diced tomatoes with juice, diced green chiles, and Lobo Rub. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Stir well, reduce heat to low, place lid on pot, and cook at a gentle simmer for 20 minutes. If rice is not quite tender or liquid is not absorbed after 20 minutes, replace lid and cook for 2-4 minutes longer. Remove from heat, leave uncovered, and allow to rest for a few minutes. Fluff rice with a fork and ENJOY!!

FRIED POTATOES WITH PRIMAL RUB

The day before you plan on making the fried potatoes, place 4 to 6 medium to large potatoes wrapped in aluminum foil in the oven. Bake at 350 deg. for 1-2 hours depending on size. Let cool and refrigerate with aluminum foil still on. When ready to prepare the fried potatoes, take out a 12” skillet with lid (I prefer my seasoned cast iron). Add 4 tablespoons of butter or olive oil to the skillet and a large chopped sweet onion. Add 1 Tablespoon of Primal Rub and saute onions over medium heat until slightly opaque. Take your cooked potatoes and remove aluminum foil and cut into 1/4-1/2” cubes. Add potatoes to skillet and add more Primal Rub depending on the amount of potatoes, I like 1-2 more tablespoons of Primal Rub. Cover and stir as needed on medium heat until potatoes are golden brown with a slight crunch. Serve and ENJOY!! HOWL-LING GOOD!!
